UNTITLED BOOK



Throughout 2020 I have been writing a book on dance; when I started writing my original purpose was to create a “how to” book using images from the tutorials I have been creating with a written explanation on how to do each movement - cool idea now I think back to that origin I should probably make that also. But I thought “how to” isn't the correct wording at all, as there isn't a 'correct way' for a person to Break and if there is, who am I to tell people how to dance, dance is such a personal thing – each individuals expression of the music, the moment, the location in time and more! There's no “how to” for that, only how to do set steps, set movements, set ideas as aids to any individual's dance. It was then I thought the best aid I could have had myself was a guide to avoid mistakes I made, a focused direction to walk as dancer, help with handling and hopefully avoiding the many injuries I've had to overcome, the psychological battles that come hand in hand with wanting to be a dancer. “A guide to being a Breaker” seemed much more fitting, of course I have to snaz that name up just a little.


It currently has 13 chapters, well potentially 14 as there's a huge section written that I don't know where to place haha. CHAPTER ONE: CONFIDENCE IS KEY

CHAPTER TWO: CREATE YOUR TRAINING AS IF YOU ARE COACHING SOMEONE ELSE

CHAPTER THREE: STICK WITH THOSE WHO WANT THE BEST FROM YOU

CHAPTER FOUR:BATTLE YOUR PAST SELF, NOT ANYONE OUT THERE TODAY

CHAPTER FIVE:DON’T PUT TIME INTO DANCING A WAY YOU DON’T LIKE

CHAPTER SIX: DON’T JUDGE ANYONE ELSE UNTIL YOU HAVE MASTERED YOURSELF

CHAPTER SEVERN:TARGET THE UNACHIEVABLE, NEVER TARGET AN END

CHAPTER EIGHT: BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF AND YOUR SKILL

CHAPTER NINE: TAKE INSPIRATION FROM EVERYONE - EVEN A BAD DANCER CAN TEACH YOU A LESSON

CHAPTER TEN:DANCE YOUR MESSAGE

CHAPTER ELEVEN: EXPOSE YOURSELF TO DANGER, MASTER IT!

CHAPTER TWELVE: INJURIES HAPPEN (TAKE EVERY OPPORTUNITY)

CHAPTER THIRTEEN – SELF REFLECTION


That 14th?/an inserted section is talking about my 70% rule of training. Apart from that 14th chapter, I tried to make the title of each chapter self explanatory of what it is going to contain. Each chapter containing its own message, guide and/or experience offering some sort of help on multiple areas of dance: self belief, competitions, training methods, your company, injuries, risk reward assessments, and so much more! Other than writing this blog to drop the hint that this book is in the writing, I am actually writing to get the community involved, I have some questions for you all and am open to receiving any from you.
